Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two director Christopher McQuarrie has revealed that filming is almost complete.
In a recent interview with Collider , McQuarrie provided an update on the filming of the sequel.
“We shot all but one of the international locations,” McQuarrie said. “We shot our big action, except for the biggest set piece, the central set piece of the film, which is massive and unlike anything we’ve done before, and I think unlike anything you’ve seen before. ” He said.
“All the space footage has been shot,” he added.
Most of the film has already been shot, with the exception of an action sequence involving Ethan Hunt’s team. The break in filming has allowed the director to carefully plan the remaining scenes.
However, a possible SAG-AFTRA strike could affect their future plans. For now, they are moving forward with their current plans as best they can.
Dead Reckoning Part Two is scheduled for release on June 28, 2024.
